Gholamreza Karimi , PhD
Dr Gholamreza Karimi works as Assistant Professor at IKIU, Iran. He worked as a New Technology Developer  at Meygoun Holding in International Projects. Since 1991 he led research and technical projects in extractive metallurgy and Bioprocessing and Nanotechnology area  including pilot plant scale trials. 
Karimi received his B.Sc. in mining engineering (1988) and M.Sc. in the field of Minerals Engineering (1991) from Tehran University, Iran. He did his Ph.D.  Research in Bioprocessing of chalcopyrite from University of Birmingham, UK. (2004). 
Karimi has more than 25 years of hands-on experience in (bio)hydrometallurgy and mineral Processing and has co-authored 27 SCI journal papers as well as 48 conference proceedings. He has been appointed Editor in charge for Mineral Resources Engineering in 2015.

Mahmoud Abdollahy is professor of Mineral Processing at Tarbiat Modares University (TMU) in Tehran. He holds a M.Sc. degree in Mining exploitation from Tehran University (1987) and a PhD degree from Leeds University in Leeds (1996). His interest is in hydrometallurgy and Flotation. Associate Professor, Majid Ataee-pour graduated in 1985 at the department of Mining Engineering, Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. He received his MEng and PhD from University of Wollongong, Wollongong, Australia, in 1994 and 2000, respectively, in the field of Mine Planning. He has been working as a staff member of the department of Mining Engineering at Amirkabir University of Technology from 2001 till now. His field of study is, generally, application of operations research in mining engineering, including mineral resources modelling, mine economics and feasibility studies and mine simulation and optimization. He is the (co)author of more than 60 journal papers indexed nationally or internationally, including more than 30 papers indexed by WoS. In addition, he has presented more than 130 papers in local or international conferences. He has published one book in the field of mineral resource modelling, as well. Till now, 12 students have received their PhD under his supervision. Also, he has supervised 37 MEng projects.

Professor Hamid Reza Aghabozorg has earned his Ph.D. in Chemistry from UMIST (U.K., 1997). He is an expert in Inorganic Chemistry, with particular interest in preparation and characterization of complex metal oxides, zeolites, catalysts, and nanomaterials. He has worked in Research Institute of Petroleum Industry and Islamic Azad University-Tehran North Branch for around 26 years where led around 20 research and technical projects (including pilot plant trials). His publications include around 100 journal papers, more than 100 conference proceeding papers, 12 books, and 2 patents (in English and Persian). He has served as a member of the scientific committees of several international conferences including ICNS2, ICNS3 . . . & ICNS8, ICNN2016, ICNN2018, and ICNN2020. Professor Aghabozorg has been appointed as Manager-in-Chief and a member of Editorial Board of Journal of Applied Research in Chemistry since 2008 and a member of Editorial Board of Journal of Petroleum Science and Technology since 2012.

Dr. Morteza Ahmadi received his B.Sc. in mining engineering (1987) from Amir Kabir uni., Iran and M.Sc. in the field of Rock Mechanics (1988) and Ph.D. in Geotechnical Engineering(1992) from Newcastle-upon Tyne Uni., UK. Now he is a Senior Lecturer in Rock Mechanics Gr., mining department, Eng. faculty at Tarbiat Modares Uni. Tehran, Iran. He is an expert in acoustic mission in rock, lazer perforation in rock, time dependent of underground spacing in rock and rock laboratory. His research topics are time dependent of rock structure, open pit stability, acoustic emission in rock deformation. He is president of Iranian Society of Rock Mechanics (IRSRM) and a member of International Society of Rock Mechanics (ISRM). He is as Editor-Member of three journals. .

Oliazadeh has over 28 years’ experience in the mining industry, with extensive knowledge in mineral processing and extraction of gold, copper, and lead and zinc. He has significant exposure working within a variety of mineral processing disciplines including process design, project implementation, and operations throughout Canada, Middle East and Africa.
Oliazadeh has executed numerous greenfield and brownfield projects from scoping study through detailed engineering, responsible for all aspects of process design including metallurgical test work programs, process flowsheets, process design criteria, equipment selection and sizing, and risk assessment. His skills and vast experiences have empowered him to effectively perform plant optimization, debottlenecking, due diligence studies, and perform value engineering. He is a qualified person for NI 43-101 compliant technical reports.

Mehdi Irannajad, PhD

Dr Mehdi Irannajad is a faculty member in the Department of Mining Enigineering at Amirkabir University of Technology, Tehran, Iran. A Mining Engineer by training, his research combines novel experimental and modeling techniques in Mineral Processing from laboratory to industrial scale. His research interests also include Process Mineralogy, Environmental Eng. and Mineral Bioprocessing. Saeid Baghshahi was born in Tehran/Iran on 27th of Feb 1967. He studied Ceramic Engineering at Iran University of Science and Technology (1990), Masters of Materials Engineering (1993) and PhD of Materials Engineering both at University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia (1997).

 

He has been lecturing as an academic in Imam Khomeini International University, Qazvin/Iran (1998). Dr. Baghshahi became a full professor at 2016. He has published about 15 books and 300 research articles. He also has served as a consultant at various research institute and factories. Saeid has been awarded the prominent researcher of the year.

 

His research interests include advanced and conventional ceramics including, electroceramics,photoccatalysts, ceramic pigments, nanoceramics, whitewares, etc.

Mehdi Hosseini currently works as Professor at Imam Khomeini international University, Iran.  Mehdi Hosseini received his B.Sc. in mining engineering (1994) and M.Sc. in the field of rock mechanics (1996) from Tarbiat Modares University, Iran. He earned his Ph.D. in geomechanics from Joseph Fourier, France (2004).

Reza Kakaie, PhD

Reza Kakaie is a professor in the Faculty of Mining, Petroleum and Geophysics at the Shahrood University of Technology, Shahrood, Iran. He worked as mining engineers in the different mine in Iran for eight years. Kakaie received his B.Sc. and M.Sc. in mining engineering at the Tehran University (1996). He also earned his Ph.D. in the application of computer in surface mining from Leeds University, England (1999). He is an expert in orebody modelling, grade estimation and optimal design of ultimate pit limit. His research interest also includes Geostatistics, planning and application of programming language in mining. He was supervisor of 21 Ph.D and 115 M.Sc. students. Kakaie published more than 150 scientific papers and 120 conference papers. He is also a member of editorial board of journal of Mining and Environment (JME) and International journal of Mining and Geo-Engineering (IJMGE).

Neil Rowson is the Professor of Minerals Engineering in the School of Chemical Engineering at the University of Birmingham. Over the past 25 years, Neil's research has focused on the primary and secondary recovery of metals with his work centring on the use of physical separation technology (magnetic, electrostatic, gravity and optical sorting) and chemical/biochemical techniques, to treat and recover valuable metals from waste streams. This research has then led to Neil's contribution on over 95 journal publications.

He has extensive experience in working on a number of large UK and EU funded multi-partner projects. The projects range from novel bio-chemical recovery techniques for the recovery of lithium from industrial waste by - products through to Rare Earth Magnet recovery from motors, automobiles and hydrogen decrepitation. This has all been developed in house at the University of Birmingham.

Shahriar Ghammamy, Ph.D.

Dr. Shahriar Ghammamy works as Associate Professor at Imam Khomeini International University, Iran. He cooperated as a researcher and visiting professor by different countries persons such as Turkish, Georgian, Colombian and Spanish scientists. Shahriar received his B.Sc. in applied Chemistry (1994) and M.Sc. in the field of inorganic Chemistry (1996) from Tarbiat Modarres University, Iran. He earned his Ph.D. in inorganic chemistry specially in fluoro transition metal compounds from Tarbiat Modarres University, Iran (2001).

Majid Nabi-Bidhendi, PhD

After receiving MSc. in Geophysics from University of Tehran, he was employed by Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran (IGUT) as instructor in 1991. Then he continued his studies towards PhD in the Department of Mineral Resources Engineering at Imperial College of Science and Technology. In 1995, after he earned his PhD in Applied Geophysics, with emphasize in Rock Physics returned to the IGUT and served as Assistant Professor. Since 1995, he has taught several postgraduate courses such as “well logging”, “exploration seismology”, “seismic data acquisition” and “physical properties of rocks”. During the last 3 decades, He has supervised more than 140 graduate students and published many journal papers both in Farsi and in English with his students. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2000 and to full Professor in 2009. He has also been appointed as the head of the IGUT for two periods of 2005-2008 and 2015-2021.

Ali Moradzadeh, PhD

      Ali currently works as a full Professor at the Mining School, College of Engineering, University of Tehran, Iran. He worked as a Mineral exploration professor at the Sharood University of Technology (SUT), Iran for about twenty two years where he led many research and technical projects in mineral, geothermal and petroleum exploration. Ali received his B.Sc. in Mining Engineering (1987) and M.Sc. in the field of Mineral Exploration (1991) from Faculty of Engineering of Tehran University, Iran. He earned his Ph.D. in mineral exploration (in the field of Exploration Geophysics) from Flinders University of South Australia, Australia (1998). Upon completing his Ph.D study, he worked as an academic member in SUT until 2013 where he tried to establish the M.Sc and Ph.D degree of mineral exploration engineering and exploration geophysics at that university with the aid of his colleagues. Ali then transferred to the University of Tehran in March 2013 where he currently work there. He has more than thirty years hands-on experience in mineral, geothermal and petroleum exploration and conducted several industrial demanded projects in these area. Ali recently also acted as project manager of a national project named as” the potential mapping of deep water resource in Iran”. In addition, he currently is member of the editorial board of 3 research journal related to mining engineering, published more than 310 conference and journal papers, and supervised 125 M.Sc. and 17 Ph.D. thesis.
